When you love someone - from "Hope Floats"

When You Love Someone
Performed by Bryan Addams

When you love someone
You'll do anything
You'll do all the crazy things that you can't explain

You'll shoot the moon
Put out the sun
When you love someone

You'll deny the truth
Believe a lie
There'll be times that you'll believe you can really fly
But your lonely nights have just begun
When you love someone

When you love someone
You feel it deep inside
And nothin' else could ever change your mind

When you want someone
When you need someone
When you love someone

When you love someone
You'll sacrifice
You'd give it everything you got
And you won't think twice
You'd risk it all
No matter what may come
When you love someone

You'll shoot the moon
Put out the sun
When you love someone

Hallway

I walk down a hallway
I see her
She is walking the other way
She is looking at the floor
She doesn't see me
There is something about her
Her cute little nose
Her curly hair
I know then

I walk down a hallway
With this girl on my arm
Its been a fun night
I realize then
I never want it to end

I walk down a hallway
Waiting outside her classroom
We both talked about taking a break
Maybe it would be best
Then she walks out
She smiles

I walk down a hallway
Nerves threatening to rip my heart
I enter the sanctuary
It wont be long
She will walk down that isle
Standing at my side
Be mine.

The hallways keep coming
We now walk them together
We choose to go or not
Love leads our way
I'm glad I have someone to take these steps with
To lead the way
Sometimes to follow
Always forward
Children born
Growing up
Growing older
Growing more in love
Growing forever

 I walk down a hallway

Blood Runs Down a Tree

Blood Runs Down a Tree

Blood runs down a tree
The tree started as a seed
It had purpose
It grew out of the soil
The sun nurtured the tree as a sapling
The rains gave it drink
Always with a purpose
It grew tall
It grew mighty
People sat under the tree
Children climbed its branches
It lived many years
Then men came along
Cut the tree down
Killing the tree
It still had purpose
The tree was milled
The tree was cut
The tree was brought to a man
A man beaten
A man who was tired
A man with no sin
The man carried the tree to a hill
The man was laid on the tree
Nails were put through the mans hands
The wood held firm
A nail through his feet
Blood started to soak the dead wood
The tree though long dead found its purpose
Life flowed into the wood
The tree was raised high once more
It stood with more glory than ever
Man had cut it down
But man had raised it again
As this man would rise again
The tree realized this was not a man at all
Blood runs down a tree
