The wind blew

The wind blew, but God was not in the wind
Rain fell, but God was not in the rain
Lightning struck the ground, but God was not in the lightning
Insects swarmed, but God was not with the insects
Fire burned, but God was not in the fire
The sun rose, freindship shown, love shared, and a brother cared
God was the whisper telling all is well
God was the love that bonded brothers
God was the freindship that fixed my soul

The Garden

I close my eyes
I see the Garden
She is there
Tending to the plants
Roses as big as your fist
Red, yellow, and white
Flowers everywhere
Wisteria grown up huge pine trees
Elephant Ears as big as me
A strawberry patch with big ripe fruit

She tends the garden
It is her garden
Every plant fertilized and cared for

She cares for God’s creation
The garden is her own soul
It’s where the Holy Spirit lives
It’s where she walks with God
If she can just get it close to Eden
God will surely come and save her

When my father died I too went to the garden and wept
When Carmen died I again wept in the garden
Jesus was there in the garden
He always has been
Praying for us
Praying for me

Tortured souls are at rest
She tends to Gods garden now
The earthly garden is gone
The memory of her garden tends to my soul

Who would have known

Who would have known
I certainly did not
That a boy turned man
Would be in charge
Making decisions only God should ever make
No, I wasnt alone
Loved ones were there
Who would have known
The women who brought me here
Would leave in front of me
Slip out of this realm
Into the next
Loved ones were there
Who would have known
The woman who raised me
Tought me to fear God
Tought me to love God
Taught me to be
Would be subject to my decisions
Loved ones were there
Who would have know
In a instant I was alone
Rain falling all around
Lost in amdark hole
Loved ones were there
Who would have know
Loved ones were there
God was there
God knew.
